Dr. Yangjin Kim earned his bachelor’s (March 2007) and master’s (March 2009) degrees from The University of Tokyo. He served as a Professional Research Personnel at the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM) from February 2009 to March 2012, as a military service. After obtaining his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Tokyo (March 2015), he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Assistant Professor at the same institution. In September 2016, he joined the School of Mechanical Engineering at Pusan National University as a faculty member. His research interests include precision measurement using wavelength-scanning Fizeau interferometers, fringe analysis through phase modulation, and intelligent machine tool systems. He is a member of the Korean Society for Precision Engineering, the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Japan Society for Precision Engineering, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the International Society for Optics and Photonics.
